EDIT-I Steven Petersen will swear under oath that the following post was not written or posted with my knowledge. I do however take full responsibility forhaving been negligent thusallowing it to have happened in the first place. I'm more than happy to speak to each and every one of you to validate such truth. I have 3 other adults toattest tothe TRUE EVENTS that unfolded. PM me and I'll be glad to give you my number.

I have posted on page 2 the true accounts of what unfolded.

I wanna start off by saying that I'll do my best to refrain from the foul language that was used during this encounter (Not by me or my family) and be as short asI can. But I'm still really riled up over it.

Wife, kids and I metwith familyat Joes Crab Shack on Greenbriar Parkway in Chesapeake for dinner tonight. Had no issues or comments from staff or patronswhile we waited for our table.

Shortly after being seated a group of 12 came in and was seated at a table adjacent to ours. As they began to take off there coats we couldn't help but to notice every one of them had "Obama for President D-66" shirts on. I tell my wife and cousin this should be interesting as we are all McCain supporters.

There hostess asked what the "D-66" meant and one gentleman said it was the Democratic party number in the Netherlands. With a puzzled look on her face she said "Netherlands". The gentleman said they are all from the Netherlands here volunteering for the Obama campaign. With that she said Oh. I looked at my wife and cousin and said thats strange. My cousin then mentioned if that was even legal and said I have no idea.

Anyway I was seated strong side away from them so no one noticed I was OCing. I had to get up and take a call from work and as I got up and turned around (strong side to them) to walk into the next room, not more that 15 feet away, for some quiet. Next thing I hear is a woman behind me saying loudly "He's right here the man with the gun is right here". I turn around to see this woman, with an Obama shirt on, standing not 5 feet from me with a look of total shock and fear on her face. I hang up the phone and walk past her to go back to my take and she says "were the hell do you think your going". I said back to my table. I go to sit back down and my wife, kids, cousin and his wife have this look of Oh sheet here we go.

Another woman called out to a server to get than manager and call the police there is a man with a gun. Just then several of the other party members say "Are you police". I chose to ignore them and again this woman approached and asked if I was police. I looked at her and said NO.

The manager come over and asked the lady what the problem was. Without hesitation she pointed right at me. The manager asked very politelyif I had a gun. I said Yes. He then asked if I was an off duty officer. I said No just a law abiding citizen attempting to enjoymy meal.

They lady asksthe manager what he planned to do about it. He said "Nothing as he is within his legal rights to carry a gun".She says "Thatsbullsheet andI want him arrestedor kicked out". The manager told her he had no intention of asking us to leave as we are doing nothing wrong. This lady turns to the group and says someone call the constable.

By now I'm really upset and so is the rest of my family. My kids begin to ask what is going on and why is the lady so mad and if she is mad at me. My wife does her best to keep them calm and quiet.

The manager turns to me and says "sorry for what is happening and I know your within your rights and I'm glad your dining with us tonight". I told him Thank you and I guess they hate guns as much as Obama does. He just smiled and said sorry again.

I look to my wife and say why don't we just leave so the kids don't have to hear all this. She said "No, you haven't done anything wrong". I start to ask my cousin what he wanted to do but was cut short whena guy says loudly "They won't send police as guns legal". This ticked the woman off and she sputter off something is another language.

The manager then told her to "please have a seat and calm down or he would have to ask her to leave for disturbing the customers". She pointed right at him and then me and said "F-you". He again told her to calm down and refrain for the language.

At this point she says loudly "When Obama is president all you gun bastards will get it". My cousin blurts out "That socialist can rot in hell".

The manager then asked the woman to leave and not come back until she could be more respectful of others. She said "No, make them leave". He says "No they are doing nothing wrong, but you are being disruptive and disturbing the other costumers, so please leave or I will be forced to call the police and have you removed for trespassing".

With that some of the others said "lets just go". They collected there things and started to walk out loudly saying "Obama 08, Obama 08". All the while to several folks clapping and others saying 'McCain 08".

The manager came back over to us and yet again apologised to us and said our meal was on the house and to stay as long as we wanted and he hoped we would come back again.

We had several folks come by our table and tellme good job for standingmy ground, Go McCain, and screw them. One young man walked by and said I should have just busted the B-ch's ass.

With that we had all we could take for the night and I had to work so we left to sorry's and please come back soon from the staff. On our way out I told the wife now you know whyI want a digital recorder. She told me to go get one tomorrow. Crazy part was she talked me out of one earlier in the day.

While this is the most extreme experience I have ever had by someone. I came to realize that these Obama extremists are unaccustomed to anything but the Socialist, Muslim, anti environment in the Netherlands. While I only felt verbally threatened I have never been so glad to have been carrying before. I just hope it never happens again but I can only wonder if it wasn't some sort of a sign, maybe of whats to come in the coming days of the election.

My experience with the majority of the antis is that they are a hateful group of people. They don't trust us with a gun because they don't trust themselves.

Sounds like the restaurant manager deserves kudos and you did a good job in holding your tongue and watch THEM get kicked out.

Poetic justice if I have ever seen it!

Thank you Bullbuster for representing OC in such a positive way. Nicely done. It's sad that you and your family were subjected to such hatred. Applause also to the restaurant manager. The O supporterswere showing their true colors. It sounds as if everyone showed their colors. Thanks again for standing in the gap.

I love it!I looked up Joe's Crab Shack web site and left a comment about how they handled this event as it was reported here. I also told them that enen though I have never eaten at a Joe's Crab Shackyet, that I will now because of this. We want to support those establishments that support us.

The comment ""They won't send police as guns legal". This ticked the woman off and she sputter off something is another language." was priceless, too bad Norfolk policedoesn't react the same way

D-66, huh? Here's what 20 minutes of searching turned up. You said there were about ten of them?

    http://www.google.com/search?q=d-66 ....

    Any further emphasis is mine....

    http://democrats.nl/
Welcome to the English website of the Dutch social-liberal party Democraten 66 (D66).
    http://democrats.nl/d66.html
Typical D66 : a liberal mind and a social feeling.

For D66 is individual freedom, social involvement, equal rights and freedom of speech a central theme. D66 aims towards a democratic, durable and open society where individual freedom coupled with social cohesion is the norm. A society wherein the will and the opportunity to take responsibility for oneself and one’s immediate surroundings is present. A society where work, personal development, leisure time and good health are in balance . D66 wants to create chances for everyone to use their talents and knowledge. D66 believes in the decisions that people take over subjects that touch their heart. D66 believes that everyone is free to make their own choices in society and that is what we mean when we say D66 is a social liberal party.

The 'Purple' coalition of Social Democrats, Market Liberals and Social Liberals has achieved a lot.

    http://www.nationmaster.com/encyclop...rple-Coalition
The Pan-Purple Coalition or the Alliance of Fairness and Justice (AFJ) is a social activist umbrella group based in the Republic of China in Taiwan. The coalition brings together nine social welfare organizations and promotes the causes of the underprivileged. It supports progressive taxation, a national social welfare system, education reforms, and gender and ethnic equality.
    http://democrats.nl/Election_Program
    [/b]
Healthcare D66 does not want government regulation but healthcare geared to demand. During the coming cabinet period, D66 wants to achieve one general, public health insurance
Apparently, D66 has an interest in Virginia, as well.

This is why I asked you if there were ten....

    If you can read Dutch....

Bravo, Bullbuster! My hat is off to you, sir. Your restraint in a difficult situation is an example to us all.

What seems particularly interesting to me is the ignorance of the US political system on the part of the Dutch comrades. In particular:

    1. Party aktivists are not, by virtue of that fact, auxiliary police who may issue orders to citizens.

    2. The President of the US is not a supreme leader who, once elected, can issue decrees criminalizing his opponents.

    3. Though not a political question, here in the US pointing and yelling obscenities is not considered proper behavior, particularly if one is a guest and families with children are present.

They weren't wearing black leather coats by any chance, were they?

    regards,

    GR

PS: Thanks also to AbNo for the research. Interesting.

Wow, that's the best story I've read on here so far. It's great to hear that the management was so pro gun and not so quick to appease a whiney customer.

    Congrats....keep up the good fight!!

I'd also like to state that this is an example of why it is GOOD to OC on private property. When you CC you lose almost all ability to promote the movement in such a positive light. And when you are limited to OC on sidewalks you tend to miss these opportunities to enlighten people. It's like gambling....you could lose a little money but you could win BIG. Last night, you won BIG and it helped every single one of us on this website.

Again I thank you. And I hope you don't mind but I copied/pasted your story elsewhere for people to appreciate/learn from. Both in regards to the gun movement and the Obama supporters. It had several great messages in it.

Oh, and I too left a comment with "Joe's Crab Shack" asking them to thank the Management and staff for how they reacted to the situation. I think we all should mostly because we want to thank them for being on our side but also because that Dutch Obama group may be leaving them negative comments as well.

Well done, Ballbuster. And kudos to Joe;s Crab Shack and the manager. I hope you guys in the area have a large OC event there to replace the revenue they lost by taking a principled stand and to show them the support they deserve for doing the right thing.

As with most liberals, I find it amusing that their platform is to allow people to make their own choices in society and do what they want - unless you want to carry a gun or have a thought they don't agree with in which case they will shout you down and do their best to infringe upon your rights and in not rare instances become violent.

Bullbuster, well done and sorry you had to deal with the radical left. Frankly, I was expecting this type of reaction when I went to the Obama campaign office here in Richmond. See my post "first solo oc". Maybe a 1911 would have had a greater impact?

Secondarily, It has become obvious to me that the O campaign has been disingenuous if not criminial in receiving financial and political support from foreign nationals. Hate to preach overmuch, but this should make the choice for POTUS obvious. If Kenyans, Nederlanders, and other left-wing zealots around the world prefer O, you can bet your **s he will not necessarily support the best interests of the US citizen.

Someone should try to get this post to Michelle Malkin, Hot Air, Reason,or some similar blog. Having foreign nationalsworking for a Presedential campaign and browbeating our citizens really shows the depth of depravity of these folks. Per the posted data, i guess "...freedom...." means "as long as you agree with us."

    God help us all.
