We went "blue" because Washoe and Clark Co voted predominantly for Obama.

Rural Nevada voted predominantly for McCain.

A similar party-line split happened for the House races.

Of more importance is for everyone to continue (or start) making sure our elected officials hear our voices on the issues.

It doesn't matter if we're red or blue because Obama promised that he won't take our guns away. You don't think that he'd lie to us do you?:banghead:

That's right, blame California.

Sorry, marshaul. I reckon we collectively take a dim view of invaders from Kalifornia.

But I think Nevadan's will agree when I say we don't mean that towards the good freedom and constitution loving Californians that move here to escape the People's Socialist Republik of Kalifornia.

We just don't like some ideas that SOME people bring with them.

I hope you understand the difference ...

I think that it is safe to say that no matter where you are from or where you are going, if you try to change things there to be the way that they were where you left the locals will resent the intrusion. Because of the number of California transplants in Nevada they usually get the blame.

Also to keep in mind, when they refer to the "California Azzholes" that it doesn't necessarily refer to you directly, unless you actually are an "Azzhole".

Keep up the fight marshaul. Maybe we could see you at one of our matches next year. We welcome all freedom loving people at our functions, especially those from California.:D

Honestly, I think our guns here are still fairly safe. The majority of our legislature, both Democrat and Republican, are pro-gun. One of the most pro-gun members of the legislature is a Las Vegas Democrat.

We still need to be vigilant and active next session to make sure our voices are heard, but I don't think we need to switch into panic mode just yet.

On our state level, I tend to agree, but we certainly MUST be vigilant and pro active.

On the federal level, I'm not as confident. We'll have to be VERY vigilant and pro active.

I love how the price tag on military style long guns have skyrocketed. A cheapo wasr-10 that was 300 bucks is now sitting at 500, if you can find someone who carries them.
