I clean mine after shooting it or when it looks like it needs it, so I voted for both of those options.

Same here. Cleaned as soon as possible after range time, and if it seems like it needs it between. Exterior metal get wiped down with an oil rag before the gun gets put away, every time I handle it.

Quick wipe-down daily. Bore snake and wipe down after every range trip. Clean and lube monthly.

I would clean it when I was bored, which used to be multiple times a day.

    I miss my XD

With all those cool big guns to play with at Ft. Sill? Where shooting is a real team sport?

Where you don't carry your piece; it carries you? (whew, just barely got it back on topic )

(So what if the bore-brush is 155mm in diameter and it takes a quart of BreakFree to clean the thing?)

I'll make you an offer: I will argue and fight for all of your rights, if you will do the same for me. That is the only way freedom can work. We have to respect all rights, all the time--and strive to win the rights of the other guy as much as for ourselves.

If I am equal to another, how can I legitimately govern him without his express individual consent?

There is no human being on earth I hate so much I would actually vote to inflict government upon him.

Sill was great. But I'm in San Antonio now. Unless you're a Whiskey, you don't get an M16.

Plus, I like my XD better.

No fair mentioning adult beverages mid-day on the weekend.
