I have a validConcealed Handgu Licensefrom the State of Texas. I relocated to NC in 2005.

1. May I use the Texas CHP until it expires in 2011?

2. Is the Texas CHP transferable to NC?

3. Must I go through the complete process to obtain a CHP for NC.

Any help answering these questions will be greatly appreciated.

I would recommend getting a NC CHP now. It is valid in more states and allows you to purchase handguns in North Carolina without obtaining a purchase permit from your county sheriff. You will probably have to go through the same process as a first-time applicant.
