One of my edumicated (bwahahahaha) inmates told me he was from Louisville and there was a restriction of having long guns in gun racks in vehicles.

Well....Kentucky has Preemption Uniformity Laws that keeps cities from making any gun laws contrary to state laws and I called his tale BS.

Anyone else hear of this?:question:

in my hunter safety course the instructor said the same thing. I made the comment that open carry was legal and it didn't make sense that louisville could prohibit openly displayed rifles. Then again half the time in class was spent finding ways not to "offend," non hunters for fear of losing more of our hunting "priviledges." Doesn't that sound similar to discouraging open carry?:banghead:
