The topic says it all basically--how many have approached an attorney or have one on retainer in the event you should ever need one as a result of a self-defense matter?

I kinda have. I have an attorney that handles all my family law issues, and I'm still paying (and using) him. He'd be my first call if there was a problem, and I've discussed it with him. I don't have a seperate retainer for a crim law specialist, because I believe that my current general lawyer would be sufficient to protect my rights through posting bail, and would be able to help me get a crim law pro if necessary.

I'd recommend having a good relationship with a general law type anyway, to ensure that your wills are right and current, and that you are adequately protected from civil suits and accidents (non-firearms related) as well.

Hello all,

new to the site and very excited about it!!

When i went to my open carry class about 2 weeks ago we discussed this subject. It was interesting the different opions on this. Well come to find out one of the instructors is a sales rep for pre-paid legal of tenn. He made a pretty good case about it. He also explained all the other benifits of having this service available to you 24 hrs a day. I did not sign up initially (although alot of the class did) but after a little investigating and justifying the $26 a month. i decided it was probably worth it.

Look forward to discussing with all of you :)

Has anyone been bomboded by those prepaid legal services sales guys? Maybe it's just me but they make it sound so good and like my grandpa said, if it makes you sweat, it's suicide (wings) but many say if it's too good to be tru, it probably is. Anyone using prepaid legal?
