THIS PACKAGE IS SOLD. Thank you everyone for your interest.

I've decided to give this forum first crack at my HK 91 before going another selling route. This is great deal. Currently on gunbroker.com there is an HK91 in not-as-good condition that is up to $2725 without all the extras this one has. FTF transfer only

I bought this from the original owner who had never shot it. I've put about 50 rounds through it. I love it, but never use it.
I'm trying to sell locally because the ammo is heavy to ship.

HK 91 EXCELLENT CONDITION Pre-ban 1981 model

Let me know if you want to part with the PSG1 trigger/147gr ammo/or mags. OR I'll give you my trigger pack, $200 cash and install it or your stock trigger pack right in front of you so you have a whole rifle again. My trigger pack has approx. 150 rounds through it.

I saw one at the gun store the other day, and about died when I saw the $3K price tag. But I guess when that's what the market is willing to pay, so be it.....but I know that I can get a CETME, which is almost the same thing, for 500 or so, last I checked. And the HK91 I held didn't feel that great.....so I don't see how the CETME could be worse.

If HK91's were lets say, a 2009 Corvette Z06, CETME would be a Ford taurus base model. It's all about the rhinemetal...

The gun in question is a pretty good deal, IMO, especially given the extras. Someone who wants to invest in a totally unpolitically correct firearm would do well to snatch it up. The price will only go up.

This is a very good deal. It would be a better investment then the stock market right now. If you can't tell the difference between a H&K and a CETME then I think the best thing to do would be to stay out of the thread. Nothing like another member helping to sabotage someones sale. Very well thought out post.....

Hmm, wasn't trying to wreck anyone's sale, just stating my, admittedly, uneducated opinion based on what I have seen and experienced. But I can look up information just as well as anyone else.
The CETME, G3 and HK91 are very similar. The CETME is actually the original. The German military version of the CETME is the G3, which is select fire. The semi-auto version of the G3 is the HK 91. G3 and HK 91 parts are mostly interchangeable, but CETME parts often will not interchange with G3/HK91 parts due to slight dimensional differences. All are 7.62 NATO caliber.
So there are some dimensional differences to parts, but most of the actual parts there are the same. The HK91 and G3 are simply evolutions of the CETME, and not big leaps at that. The fact is, for the HK91/G3/CETME as a semi auto rifle, pick one. If you want a HK rather than an import CETME, fine, go ahead. I'm not saying don't. Just saying I personally would not, but I like to think of myself as a pragmatic, "if it gets the job done" kind of person, and besides, I don't have 3K to just throw at anything.

And in terms of trying to tell ME that I should stay out of the thread, here's a little something for you:

How about you get a few more posts under your belt before you start something with a forum member who's been around for a while.......and actually, I dunno, OCs now and again? I don't need your damn approval or your permission for anything, so you can get bent.

Easy there tiger! I was not trying to prevent you from contributing to this or any other thread if you have something to say of value but coming into a for sale thread and telling people that they could buy a comparable rifle for $2200 less is doing nothing other then undermining his chances to sell his gun. If I remember correctly no one did that to you when you were selling your Hi-Point.

As far as post counts go: You do have quiet a bit more than I do, and I congratulate you for that. I would have hoped that over your obviously generous amount of time spent answering others posts you would have learned betteretiquette than you have exercised in this post. I don't see what your open carry experience brings to this discussion but I will happily admit that you have much more of that as well, again, congratulations. If experience does qualify one for being able to contribute to these threads then I would hope that my superior sales experience would count for something here.

I don't hold it against you since your information is not personally gained, but if your information told you that the only difference between the H&K series of guns and the CETME is minor dimensional changes in the design that that information is the worst and most irresponsible piece of crap I have had the pleasure of hearing. The two guns are as similar as Rosie O'Donnell and Angelina Jolie.

First off, I'd like to say that whoever picks this up is getting a freaking steal!!!

That said, I'm a CETME owner and love my Spanish Lady.

I agree with both Comp and ElJefe... The CETME gets the same job done as the HK91, but the HK91 has a better fit and finish. Kind of like buying a functional WASR-10 (with a side-rail mount) versus buying a Yugoslavian M70. Both will function well and both are stamped, but one will have a better fit and finish... and are priced accordingly; as are the CETME and HK91.

I would also like to point out that the ammo being included in this deal is easily worth $500+, which means you're getting the rifle and accessories for $2200.

Trust me, screaming deal even without the threat of an AWB... the fact that there is the threat of one, it should likely be going for at least $300 more.

Best of luck in your sale.
