First off let me introduce myself. My name is Glenn I live in the Ville Platte area. New here but Im trying to find La shooting/gun groups to get the word out about this so we can have a respectable showing. Its still early in the planning stages but its gonna happen. More info can be found here

http://www.righttokeepandbeararms.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=7

or I can be contacted at flemgunnerAThughes.net.

We all know whats gonna happen if we just sit idly by and do nothing this could be a good way of showing that any extreme ammo taxes, or "gun grabs" will be met with a sizable voting force. It just may turn some ways of thinking.
Thanx much

Glenn,
From experience, I've learned "shooting groups" are not gun rights activists, with very few exceptions. As for the threat of a "voting force," that just doesn't seem to intimidate politicians.
What DOES get a politician's attention is to open the door to their home and be staring a constitutent in the eyes. Multiply that by at least a hundred, ARMED, I'd say you'd have their attention then.
Who knows? It may even turn some ways of thinking.

Glen,

I'm willing to support the rights of other "gun groups" but how many will support our right to open carry? Based on personal experiance I have my doubts. Some of the most vocal opponents to OC I have run into have been our fellow gun owners.

Yeah I posted this there as well I have yet to hear anything from them. I must say, this forum was very quick with responses though.
As I stated, I am new to these forums, Im just hoping to get some ideas out there. I feel that we, as shooters, are going to be in a world of hurt in the next 4 years. I'm just hoping that there is something that can be done.
