Hi,

Really enthused to find a site of like minded people. I CC and OC regularly and appreciate that others are doing the same as an simple act, at the least,of exercising their rights. One interesting facet of my CC and OC is that I live near Ashland, OR which is some bastion of anti-gun sentiment as one might imagine. I was at my favorite watering hole when I finally had enough of being hot in my jacket with my shoulder harness on. I proceeded to spend the rest of the evening cooly being myself while openly carrying my P85. I've done this many times, and only once did a LEO come to the establishment. I was out front having a smoke, and he came in, stayed briefly, and left without any confrontation while even giving me a cloaked thumbs-up type nod. I was amazed. I think they know me as a local and see me around, but I wasn't even approached before or since. It could be that the establishment knows me and there are indifferent or like minded people who patronize there, but I was mentally geared up to state my rights clearly and firmly and yet didn't have to. Anyway, a positive experience.

Thanks,

Hoss

Welcome to the board. Its always good to hear of positive experiences. I frequently travel through Ashland on the way to (cough) Kalifornia and am glad to hear LE are properly educated.
