I've lived in Virginia all my life, and I've never even been to the Eastern Shore! How sad is that? I really need to get over there for a visit some day...

The Eastern Shore is still mostly rural. Not much goes on here. We have the saying "Yes Virginia there is an Eastern Shore" as a result of the state printing state maps without the Eastern Shore on it. But some things that happen here are the annual seafood festival, The Chincoteague Pony Swim, and the Harvest Festival. And we still have small town Christmas parades

Ex-Yankees? If you look at the traffic on 13 there are a lot of New York, New Jersey, Conn. Delaware, etc. At times looks like more than VA. To see the real Eastern Shore you need to get off 13.
