Five Guys restaurant in Dumfries was robbed at gunpoint at approximately 11 a.m. Wednesday morning, according to Prince William police spokesperson Erika Hernandez.
The suspect, who is still at large, reportedly used a handgun in the robbery attempt and then fled the scene on foot. It is not known at this time whether the robber fled with any cash.
Five Guys is located at 17237 Wayside Drive off U.S. 1.
The suspect is described as a heavy-set black male, approximately 5 foot, 10 inches with a mustache. He was wearing a black winter coat lined with fur.
He was last seen running towards Wal-Mart. No injuries were reported. No schools were being evacuated at the time, said Hernandez.
