If any of you would like to have a nwcdl.org e-mail address for free I have setup a form that you can self create one. Just go to http://nwcdl.org/cpemail.php

You can use it with any smtp e-mail client or there is a webmail portal as well. The quota is 50MB and there is a TOS to abide by which can be read from the link on the creation page.

I am doing this because I feel that we could carry more weight with the people we write e-mail to about pre-emtped laws or lobbying legislation if the e-mails came from people associated with a group dedicated to preserving the 2nd amendment.

Sweet. I just signed up for one. In case anyone else would like to know, the POP3 and SMTP server is mail.nwcdl.org. You can use that server, along with your username and password, to set up access to your account from your e-mail program on your computer.

I really hope spammers don't ruin this generous offer the way they seem to with many other free email services. I suppose you could always move to a one off verification system for creating new accounts though (or something else).

I doubt spammers will bother with it. I have been looking at the new accounts everyday and so far so good.

That's great to hear. Many of the free smtp servers I've used in the past have been shut down due to abuse, but they were publicly advertised. Listed on search engines, etc.
