You pretty much have it right there. You won't find a statute specifically stating that Open Carry is legal, just as you won't find a statue stating that eating a Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato sandich is legal. Laws tend to prohibit things, not specify that a thing may be done.
The Florida CCW is the same as the Georgia GFL, except that you aren't required by statute to conceal in Georgia. I believe
FL has reciprocity with GA, so if you come over to visit you can carry openly should you wish.
Someone saying that once you have a concealed permit, you cannot carry openly is like saying that once you have a Driver's Permit you are no longer allowed to ride a bicycle or to walk, but must always drive your car.
