I currently carry my SW MP 45 in a Blackhawk Serpa. I'm trying to find an OWB leather holster to fit it with retention, preferably the same concept of release. I don't want a strap, but if it's a thumb-break I'd consider it. I've seen the Bianchi with the middle finger release, and I don't like that setup. Is there anything else available for this?

I've never used this holster, but it seems like an interesting design, and it's leather as you requested.

There is no shortage of the normal thumb break style leather holsters if you decide to go that route instead.

My only problem with the Bianchi is that the middle finger tends to be the main balancing finger. I probably should have mentioned that I would be wearing this on my duty belt, so many of these holsters won't properly fit. The Safariland looks like what I want, do you know if it has an adjustable cant angle?

After looking at the video, it doesn't look like it's a quick enough draw for what I want. I'll probably have to find a leather worker to get a custom one made. That being said, does anyone know anyone who makes custom leather holsters in the northeast preferrably Pa?

Did you take a look at their ALS holsters? They automatically lock the gun in place using the ejection port on the gun upon insertion. No extra steps, similar to the Serpa.

You can find an ALS holster with or without the additional hood at the top of the holster:

ETA: A few of the ALS holsters look like they are made of leather, but it's hard to tell. You'll have to ask them directly.

From their website they claim it's "safarilaminate" which I've gathered to mean plastic/polymer. I'm happy with my Serpa and it's retention, but the leather would be for when I have to dress nicer for something. I might have to get a different pistol for that, too.

I don't mind. The only problem is trying to come up with excuses to buy more.:)

Have you talked to Tucker Gunleather? Note the big red link at the top center of your screen. I have had good luck with these guys. They have a series of designs they sell, but they will do whatever custom work you want.
