Top to bottom:
My son's M44 Nagant (1944 Izhevsk)
My daughter's Ruger 10/22 (pink thumb stock & heavy barrel on backorder)
My Ruger Single Six (new model) w/.22 mag cylinder

Anyone interested in a shoot at the pit on Tuesday?

No gun port (save for the new Burris rings I bought for myself), but since my birthday was on the 21st, I did get a knife for a present then.... A S.O.G. Trident, half serrated.

Other than the fact that it's an awesome knife from an awesome company, the neat thing is they are HQ'd about 1 mile from me due East on the street that mine T's into. Talk about saving on shipping, I'd likely use less than a dollar in gas going to and from them to get it serviced... including both the trip to drop it off and retrieve it.

With a Fabian Bros. muzzle break and 3.5lb. trigger job now. Technically it's a PTR MSG-91, but that's apples to apples. I absolutely love the manly cocking lever, crank back with all your might and let 'er fly forward.

This was my (early) Christmas present to myself. I carry it regularly with all 3 spare magazines as well. Hopefully the can will follow.

No, it is not an unmarked gun. I photoshopped the HK date-stamp and the serial number out of the picture in a tasteful manner.

EDIT:

I'm officially jealous of your MSG-91.I'd be happy with a PTR 91-F.

A pristine 1966 HK41 is on my dream list, but I'll never find one. It's a shame we can't import modern G3s (G3A4 or G3KA4 for me please) even with NFA Title II compliance.

Shadow, is that a .40 Tac? I'm looking at the SAME one for my wife, they're AWESOME! I love the match trigger and adjustable sights.

Also, You can sometimes find HK41s for sale on HKPRO.COM, I buy alot of gear off that forum. And, they do make G3 Kits you only need to have 10 US compliant parts with the host G3/HK91, it's really easy, even the sear counts as a US part if you go the full-auto route.

It'sa .45 ACP full size Tactical. I was kinda hoping to get one of the Mk 23 Mod 0's but I found out I could get the USP Tacplus a can for less than the cost of the Mk 23 alone and at the time I couldn't find a Mk 23 anywhere. (I found oneyesterday, but I love the USP Tac and I have 500+ rounds through it already.)

The USP Tactical (in .45 auto) is amazingly accurate. Even using cheap plinking ammo like the Remington UMC 230gr ball, I'm punching 2" 10-shot ragged hole groups (center to center)at 25 yardsstanding and I'm by no means an expert with the USP sights yet. Sometimes the UMC has a load that feels a bit lighter andthat widens my group up, but I haven't had one fail to print on the paper yet. When I shot some of my Speer GDHP (230 gr) defense ammoit was even more accurate with less flash and a much cleaner burn. I'm betting the pistol could print sub 1" groups at 25 yards from a ransom rest. (It's more accurate than I am capable of shooting it.) The recoil is amazingly controllable and I'm able to keep 10 shot groups in a 6" circle at 25 yards rapid fire. (Again, I'm sure others could shoot even better than I have been.)

I haven't shot any of the USP's in .40 S&W. I chose the.45 ACPto shoot 230 gr subsonic ammunition with a suppressor. If I was going to suppress a .40 S&W I'd have to shoot 180 to 200 gr projectiles with the same velocities the 230 gr .45 ACP delivers, so all I'm doing is sacrificing energy and terminal performance. The only gain would beone extra round in the magazine and a half of an inch trimmed off of the height of the pistol.

I'm sure the HK USP .40 Tacticalis superbly accurate, I just didn't choose that caliber.

If you're not going to suppress the pistol and you're chosing the Tactical because of the trigger and sights, you might want to look at a USP Expert instead. They have the same trigger and rear sight (the front blade is a bit shorter than the Tactical) and they cost a bit less. The one thing the USP Expert lacks is the O-ring barrel that the Tacticals and the Mk 23 Mod 0 have.

P.S. Thanks for the information about HK41's and G3's. It's something I plan to do someday when I have more time and money. (Hopefully they're still legal when I get around to it.)

I'm looking to put a gemtech on there also, so the threaded barrel was a must have for me. Check out the HK match weights if you get a chance, they still sell them. Also viridian makes an awesome green laser/flashlight combo. I'm going for the Tac. .40 pending funds. Like I said before I'm an HK nut, after you shoot them, everything else seems so insignificant.
