So, today Jon Carter and I visited Tully's at the Marketplace Shopping Center in Nampa. The shop apparently has no problem with OC based upon the events of the visit. Read the thread titled "My First MWAG Call" to see how it went.

Tully's is right behind the Olive Garden at the Shopping Center. Best Buy is about 80-90 yards away.

We'll probably meetup again next week at one of the Moxie Javas or similar type places.

BUT PLEASE, feel free to suggest a coffehouse, restaurant or simlar placethat youfind comfortable for just chatting and maybe a slice of pie or something.

I have read through this thread, and have to add another oc non-friendly. Edwards 21. I was asked to dissarm lastnight during a movie. I was initially upset but I didn't make a scene.put myweapon in the car locked it up and went back. The manager stated he doesn't normally ask ocers to dissarm, but a customer complained.

Does that make sense? You're going to see a movie about guns and killings, but the presence of a live weapon scares you. Especially when its a soldier, sitting next to his wife. I was wearing an OIF hat for goodness sakes. Some days it seems we're losing this fight

Wow. Must not have had an approved holster, most now have some sort of countereasure to block trigger pull while holstered. My buddy shot off his pinky toe while putting a .357 in his pocket. He laughs about it now but litterally pissed himself at the time

Hmmmm...

Everyone makes their own decisions and, while absolutely not second-guessing yours, I would have asked for my money to be refunded for the tickets. Would my wife have been a little peeved? Yeah, probably, but I am pretty sure she would have gotten over it if we went somewhere else and saw the movie.

Different people handle these things differently though and certainly consideration of others in your group/party have to be considered. I lock my firearm in the trunk when taking my parents to the VA or St. Al's clinics for this very reason.

I was still able to see the movie I just had to disarm. They have it posted in an obscure location, but posted none-the-less. I just did as they requested without incident. My only wish is they did it a little more subtle.... insted of having 2 security gurds (which I didn't know they had) come and ask me to follow them. However, it was still previews, and I didn't miss any of the film.

Next time I'm in Edwards I'm going to complain when some asshat with a cell phone ruins my movie. I'd like to see their security guards escort that person with a cell phone out to their car and secure it.

Alpha Omega-- Enter at your own risk. Claims they are oc/cc friendly, however their door says no loaded firearms in the store (or something close to that). So you could go in, not admit to having a loaded oc/cc weapon and they wont ask, however you do run the gambit of them preemptively shooting you or throwing you out of the store or calling the cops. Also this store admits (read for full details in the gunshow post this last weekend) to full video/ audio surveillance recording that is supposedly sent offsite via internet to some unknown storage facilities. It is also unknown how long this material is kept.

Today I went into Patriot pawn and guns in Star. I am looking to buy a new gun, specifically a Ruger SR9C in stainless. Got to talking to hinm about oc and he has no problem at all with it inside his store. Also, the gas station at old hwy 30 and hwy 44 at the middleton exit also have no problem with oc. They also have pretty good burgers till 5pm. Just thought I would add what I can.
