Thread: My newest reason to carry
Meghan Elisabeth, born 12/29/2008
Once she is holding her head up a little better I'll have a pic with her in theSnugli carrier with my firearm visible.
Now THIS is a good reason to OC. Congratulations, Pol Mordreth! Many years to both of you! Enjoy her while she's young.
One of the best reasons I can think of. Congrats!
It is about the children! Congratulations!
You will not rise to the occasion; you will fall back on your level of training.” Archilochus, 650 BC
Old and treacherous will beat young and skilled every time. Yata hey.
Congratulations! Do your best to pass on to her your Tennessee heritage. Beautiful little lady.. I have two myself, but both are grown.
In the final seconds of your life, just before your killer is about to dispatch you to that great eternal darkness, what would you rather have in your hand? A cell phone or a gun?
Si vis pacem, para bellum.
Congrats! My 'baby' will soon be 39! Time flies.
I'm setting here with my SA .45 on my hip, and I'll be damned if I wasn't still "disarmed"seeing that pic.
EXCELLENT reason to carry.
Bob Owens @ Bearing Arms (paraphrased): "These people aren't against violence; they're very much in favor of violence. They're against armed resistance."
In defense of their lives, in defense of their futures. That is the best reason ever.
(on the lighter side) Born to bear arms.
My youngest will be 26 in June. Her Fiancee gave her a Taurus 9mm last year for Christmas. She told him, "If that's not trust in a relationship what is?" I taught her and her sister weapons safety at age 6 and 4 respectively. and at age 10 each of them was shooting a .22.
And as was said before, it is ALL about the children
‘‘Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.’’ Thomas Jefferson
Two of God's many gifts, Children and the right of self defense. Congratulations. Now that you have started her off on this forum, we expect frequent updates.
Congratulations. And yes, they are the best reason to carry.
Congrats! My little girl just turned 1 back in September.
Hmm - that's my sister's name, although spelled differently. Congratulations.
She's beautiful. Congratulations. The best reason of all.
Congratulations, very cute!
It's a real privilege to know such great people and Moms as you folks.
God bless and keep you. Teach her well.
But, in the end, I live and therefore I am. I don’t need any other person’s permission to live or defend myself. I don’t need anyone’s vetting of my intentions or sanity, nor approval for the self defense tool I choose or how I carry it.
I don’t NEED to explain myself. I don’t NEED any reasons at all.
"Think of the Children!"
"I do, they are the reason I carry!"
Congrats........................She deserves the BEST in protection....................and thats YOU!
Psalm 144:1 Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:
Psalm 144:2 My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me. Pro 14:15 The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.
Congrats! My daughter is now 9 months old, and is the #1 reason I carry. You can mess with me, but your life ends the second you think you can mess with her. Too bad my mom "grandma" thinks carrying is a "bad idea.":P
