I was at the Colonial Parkway at Jamestown Settlement at the same time. See http://opencarry.mywowbb.com/forum54/20389.htmlfor additional discussion.

I'll grant you the first pictures - hard to take a ticture of myself, as well as scary at that time of day.

    stay safe.

    Way to go Skid !

Those are some handsome dudes in that picture too.

    If I had to guess, I'd guess 2 .357 magnums, 1 9mm & 2 .45 ACP handguns are in that picture...

Yep, they'll NEVER catch me! :celebrate

We only planned on a year of travel assignments and wanted to settle in this area before that anyway. Closer to the kids and family in the occupied territories of MD and NJ.

Miss is? I shoveled 60 inches of that white crap before we left! lol... We left the Sat after Christmas, on the only clear day for traveling.

When we extended there and knew we would be leaving in Dec, my BIL and SIL reassured us there was only a small chance of just a little snow.

Yeah right! Stay warm back there!

60 inches! That's 5 feet!! My daughter went to school just twenty minutes south of Spokane and in the two years she was there I never saw that much snow. You're just SOL Bob. Yeah, I'll stay here and stay warm! Glad you made the move safely.

I visited the Manassas National Battlefield Park on Monday and before hand called the park about the new rule changes. The two rangers I spoke with had no clue about the change in rules. Though, I am glad I read the above link to the park page and read that it is still illegal to carry in federal buildings(visitor centers included).

    Otherwise I had no issues.

Well, this may have not lasted too long........

I am not positive if the National Park Carry is altered by this yet, but....

    http://voices.washingtonpost.com/fed...l?hpid=topnews

And the article at MSNBC mentions it.....

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28758810/

I see that even though msnbc mentions it, the regulation change for National Park Carry is published in the Federal Register already, so should not be in peril.

    changed after the reply below.

No, according to the articles, the directive only applies to regulations that have not yet taken effect. The National Park concealed carry rule is already in effect.

The washpost also states that the directive includes those not yet published in the Federal Register. NPC (as noted in my edited post) has been published.
