please remember these immortal words spoken by King Hussein of Illinois.....

"I am not in favor of concealed weapons. I think that creates a potential atmosphere where more innocent people could (get shot during) altercations"

They will be hard pressed to touch another AWB the first 2 years anyway. If the hold the house in 2010, watch your neck.

I'm sick of how they're trying to make him look like the reincarnation of Abe Lincoln.... first a big spread about Lincoln and O'barry in the Post, now the coronation train from Philly to DC via Baltimore.... I'd puke but I'm all out.

Grow up a little, maybe?

It's nice to see him, before he even sets foot in office, already, actuallytaking action to dowhat he was elected to do, make good on his promises. After the last eight years you'd think that politicians were just there to create wars and say "terruh" before magically passing any lawthey want. Who knew people actually voted them in to accomplish something? I'm glad to see someone that actually gives a shit in office.

Obama is going to be exactly like Dubya. Take a look at his appointments and explicit agenda for proof.

Only he's going to give even more money to ethanol scamsters. :uhoh:

He'll be a little sharper than W, a little more hands-on. And I'm sure he'll make good use of all the executive powers Bush and Cheneysecured for him. Not good for us, maybe, but good for something.

Exactly. At this point I almost don't care what he does. If all the good he accomplishes is setting a standard for all politicians that they need to DO something while in office and DO what they said they would do and be PRO-ACTIVE with it, I'd be more than happy. The days of, "hey I got elected, now I can go golfing for four years," are over.

I think we all need to care about what is going to happen in the next four years. I believe we are going to be in for a rough ride. So, get in, buckle up, and hold on to your rights!

(I deleted the picture myself, for having incorrect info in the caption, thanks guys for pointing it out to me.)

The text below your image is incorrect. It wasn't the pledge, but the national anthem he was listening to. And here's a video of Bush not putting his hand over his heart during the national anthem as well. It doesn't prove that either one is unpatriotic.

Thank you for cutting through the out-of-context, childish bullshit that gets thrown around constantly.
