Never ceases to amaze me how the anti's can turn everything against lawful gun ownership. Wonder IF one of the good guys or let's say the whole crowd was armed whether the punk would have got off even one round?

Yep. "......And if you dont agree with us or we can't refute your logic, why, then here are some tearful, grief-stricken relatives..." and then firearms are made the disease and firearms owners are made out to be disease carriers; or are made out as uncaring louts or some such by these parasites who shamelessly exploit grieving parents. And in an effort to defame and smear the ONE thing that might have saved that kid's life, at that.

IMO there are two basic kinds of anti: there is the truly concerned citizen who has swallowed the Anti line whole or has endured a loss such as this (and in many cases is "love bombed" by Type Two antis much like the cult leaders of the 70s used to do). Type One antis are frustrating but basically decent but misguided and decieved folks.

The Type Two Anti is a different critter altogether. Type Twos carry all the BS talking points in their heads and won't hesitate to loudly butt in to a conversation about firearms and/or firearms rights, not to contribute to the conversatiion but to drown out the pro-2A arguement. Their main motivation is to use the force of law to force everyone to live as they would have it. Not coincidentlly most Type Twos are also advocates of government prohibitions on smoking in bars, use of trans-fats in restaurant cuisine, and anything else they find personally undesireable. The Type Two anti wants you to not have a firearm for safety, to not smoke because the health issues cost money, and to use the damned corkscrew lightbulbs because of the environment (and never mind that the mercury in those bulbs is unsafe, extremely unhealthy, and by the way mercury is extracted from ore that is mined and processed...)

NYC Mayor Bloomberg is a classic Type Two. His latest diktat-in-waiting is an order to reduce or eliminate salt - SALT!! - from restaurant food.

When you stand up for the Second Amendment, truly you are standing up for every other right you have. Most Type Twos have no qualms about guns for themselves. The bottom line is that they prefer unarmed peasants beneath them.

Your type ones are people that can be brought around to the side of light. They are vulnerable to the facts of how gun control does not and cannot stop gun violence- it can't stop criminal behavior because it's not designed to. It's just a matter of getting the message to them.

The type twos KNOW that gun control doesn't work for controlling gun violence, but many believe it can work for controlling people (what they haven't figured out is that liberty-minded people won't be without guns any more than criminals won't- regardless of what laws they pass).

They also don't understand that liberty minded people will still be liberty minded people with or without their firearms.

So no amount of control on them isgoing to work. The tighter you squeeze, the more slips through your fingers.

Thus becoming criminals themselves... in the eyes of government.

BTW:

This is GREAT news for our side.

It is very important now that Sen. Gillibrand hear from 2A folks. Her NRA A+ is largely due to her being part of upstate hunting culture.

Schumer thinks that she will "moderate" now that Brooklyn is part of her constituency.

Lets prove him wrong!
That's a first! Thank God the election is over and some of us can begin making sense again ;).

This is the classic "stupid or evil" dichotomy of people who do the wrong thing.

It applies to antis very well, but it applies to other people, too. The guy who cut you off in traffic either made an honest mistake (stupid), or he was purposly driving aggressive (evil).

You can be both stupid and evil at the same time, of course. You won't have to look far to find examples.
