Kalispell robber sought

Jan 27, 2009 06:11 AM MST

The Kalispell Police Department is seeking the public's help in locating a pair of suspects who robbed a woman at gunpoint outside a local casino.

Police reports indicate that shortly before 6:00 Monday evening, officers responded to a call of an armed robbery outside a casino on the west northside of Kalispell.

The female victim said two males, one of whom brandished a weapon, attempted to rob her of money and prescription narcotics, while she was sitting in her car in the parking lot.

One of the suspects is described as being a white male between 20 and 30 years old, with a slender build, and being approximately 6' tall. He was last seen wearing khaki pants, a black sweatshirt, and a black ski mask.

The woman could not identify the second suspect and said the two may have fled in an older blue Jeep Cherokee.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Detective Scott Warnell at (406) 758-7793.

We were just discussing how bad it is getting here in Kalispell, Mt.....

Carry!

Wonder how it would've turned out had this happened outside Perkin's at oh, say, about 5:00 yesterday evening!!

The sad part about this is this type of thing is getting more and more prevalent and the end is nowhere in sight. Weren't we talking about this somewhat yesterday?! All the robberies that have been happening recently around the valley here! Robberies and other violent crimes are more common-place. All the more reason to get the FV2AC up and running!

Driving different Vehicle though? Mineral County is Missoula, Very easy to go up HYW 93 through Kalispell to Libby and Troy

Actually Mineral County is just west of Missoula County

But I find it strange that instead of heading west on I-90 these guy's came back east and then headed north on Hwy 93 I'm just thankful they were finally caught in Troy before they could wreck havock on any other. The early morning when they fired on Flathead County Deputies, they should have been put down like the rouge dogs they are.

It has not been said that these two were the ones that did the Robbery,

I was mearly suggesting that it could have been, there ages almost match the Description , the Vehicle don't match, The route they took could have been to Missoula and up 93. Being Criminals they proly Had a lot of indecision!

Exactly... I realize that the two situations are differant and not related to each other. The Golden Nugget Casino does have a restaurant attached but is open to the gaming & drinking. I have often wondered why the owners of our area casino's have not hired off dury LEO's or very acredited Armed Security for the protection of their customers for both inside and or outside of the gaming facilities.

2008 produced more Armed Robberies in Kalispell than any other year since I have lived here. It is only going to get worse here in Kalispelland the suroundingFlathead Valley area.

Wait... you mentioned off-duty LEO's and very acredited Armed Security, you didn't mention very acredited LEO's. You make it sound as though you don't have much confidence in our area LEO's!

I figured LEO and acredited went hand in hand. I have plenty of friends who are LEO's... the last bad one I can think of is Troy Holt who is gone from KPD. I know some retired LEO's that are retired, but working security to supliment their retirement.

I know some ex-LEO's that are not working right now but maybe a few hours and some not working at all.

Bottom line is that something needs to be done here in Kalispell and the Flathead Valley.
