Oh no, skid...that was the owner of Blue Ridge Arsenal.

Bernie at Virginia Arms is unfailingly polite, considerate, friendly and helpful and under his leadership the staff are mostly the same.

Virginia Arms can be an extremely busy shop on Saturdays, though, so if you want to look at something specific when they are busy patience may be required.

I regularly vote with my business at Virginia Arms, Dominion Arms and G&A Warehouse. Dominion Arms is a different cup of tea . . . I enjoy the atmosphere there too.

what do you mean by that? about dominion arms?

If it was not Bernie but someone else, my apologies to him in advance. I'm just trying to keep straight who is who up there in NoVa so if I ever get that way with $$ in my pocket I'll know who/where to spend it and who to avoid.

stay safe.

you're thinking about the guy that owns Blue Ridge Arsenal - his name is Earl Curtis

Dominion Arms is a guns and military surplus store. It is an owner-operated one (or two) man shop. They have US and foreign military and civilian antique firearms (US, Russian, German,Finnish, Swiss, Swedish, British, Japanese, etc.), black powder and new SIG, Glock, Colt, Taurus. You can still find ARs & AKs in stock some days. Also, one of the few retail shops in America where smoking is allowed (i.e. the owner smokes). I like it enough I stop and visit even if I am not purchasing anything...and I don't even smoke.

ETA: Dominion Arms, Virginia Arms and G&A Warehouse are all on Route 28 in Manassas. Dominion Arms on the far north end and VA Arms and G&A on the south end.

I went to both Virginia Arms and Guns & Ammo today just to browse at toys I can't afford.

I bought another gun at VA about 2 weeks ago. They were great to deal with and reasonably priced. They were very busy, but never made me feel rushed. Would do business with them again and recommend them.

i went to both today, too!

i went to G&A first, they had some G17 15 rounders in stock, but nothing else for my G26.

then i went to VA arms, and they only had 12 rounders - i'm looking for stock 10 rounders.

i was there around 1530

I agree. VA Arms is a nice shop. Whenever I'm out in the area I always stop at Guns and Ammo Warehouse and VA Arms. Probably the two best gun shops in NoVA.
tell me more about this guns and ammo warehouse of which you speak :)

VA Arms is hands down the best. Bought almost everything there. Bernie is an awesome guy and extremely knowledgeble and professional. Always enjoy going there and give them my business. Bought my first gun there and Berine devoted time and patience to answer my idiotic newbie questions. Guns and Ammo is good, but in my opinion not even nearly as good as VA arms...and often more expensive too. Dominion Arms is great too, just for a different purpose. Atmosphere is super laid back - it's almost like visiting an old friend and both guys are very nice and professional too. Lets put it this way: when i look for new guns, i go to VA Arms. When i look for something weird or old or military surplus, time to visit Dominion Arms. I go to Guns and Ammo too, but only when i decide to shop on Sundays

I have to agree with everyone here, VA Arms is the best place hands down, Guns & Ammo is pretty good too and nice friendly people to help you.

Bernie is doing a excellent job in VA Arms, good crew too and lots of cool toys n they have their own AR expert Rob ......the only downside is that I spend too much $$$ everytime I visit .....lol

Blue Ridge sucks.....used to go there but people that work there were rude and didnt have much variety in their inventoryso never went back.
