Need help finding info on the Supreme Court dicision

I have done some searching on here and google and I can not find an answer to a question, possibly I am not typing in the correct words, but... Where can I find the link to when the Supreme Court ruled that it is not the job of LEOs to protect an idividual, but the peace of society. I hope I have that right. Thats why I wanted to look it up so I can fully understand. I know I have seen it on this board, but i can not remeber were. Thanks for any help.

Glad to see you got the citations you needed. For your future reference, case law is best searched on www.FindLaw.com. They have pretty good search functions for just about any case law you're looking for.
