A good IWB can be comfortable, but not nearly as comfortable as a OWB.
There is always cross draw, appendix carry, conventional shoulder holster (vertical not parallel), ankle holsters and personal bags (fanny packs etc...).
I'd avoid the ankle holsters for your primary gun or all together if you have trouble with mobility.
Off the body carryusually isn't a good idea if it can be avoided.

My pride and joy is a Mitch Rosen 5JR-Pres-FD. Mitch Rosen holsters are nice but expensive. I carry my cherished Thunder Ranch Special in it. If the cops confiscate the two of them from me one day because they're trying to bust the balls of an uppity OC'er, I'll probably break down and cry.
