Able to OC in Texas

Hay guys, Im new here. I've heard alot of talk about OC and am interested in being able to OC. After reading alot of the other posts I am way confused. In the state of Texas is it legal now for me to OC my firearm? I have a CHL witch intitles me to CC. Sorry for the stupid question .

Welcome to the forum.

As of this moment, it isn't legal to openly carry handguns in Texas but there is a bill being worked on.

Although technically it isn't illegal to open carry "non-handguns" (such as rifles/shotguns, antiques, etc.) under current Texas law, if I understand correctly.
