SNIP

So there I was last week, drivin’ into DC when I heard Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley (D) on WTOP.com’s “Ask the Governor Program.”And I call in and wait in the queue only to be the last caller!

I ask [@ time hack 34:99]:
“Hi Governor. My question’s on gun carry permits. The Heller decision said that the right to bear arms is to carry them and I’m wondering if Maryland can ever move from the current non-discretionary issuance of gun carry permits?[NOTE: I meant to say “discretionary” not “non-discretionary” but Governor O’Malley appeared to understand what I meant]. . . .

Reduction in violent crime? What color is the sky in the world he’s living in? I’m pretty sure that the governor could care less if the average citizen can legally possess the means to defend themselves and their family. After all, he’s not an average citizen AND has his own personal security detail who by the way, protect him with guns. I wonder if he would be receptive to replacing his security folks’ firearms with pepper spray…’cause you know, guns are not the answer for protection right?

"If you live, work, or go to school in Maryland, its time to take action on HB 470 today!"

I've written toall three of my Delegates. Of those three, only two thought enough of me as a very active voter to respond. Only one of those two showed support for the bill. At least the Delegate that did not intend to support the bill had the intestinal fortitude to write me back and tell me why. So, for my neck of the woods in this fine State, Delegate support for the bill is 33% at best...

The right to keep and bear arms outside of one's own property in Maryland will not be seen anytime in the near future. Until then, we can only pray that the one's that illegally carry firearms (the criminals) will not shoot and kill us before the one's that can legally carry firearms (the police) come and save the unarmed sheeple from extinction.

Hunting season for the unarmed citizenry of this State is open year round and no permit or tag is required.

Incredibly Governor O’Malley then went on to say that he hopes Maryland will eliminate the death penalty “for those who commit the unspeakable crime of taking a loved one from us through violence.”

I heard this on the radio also. More importantly, he said that he wants to get rid of the death penalty because it does nothing to reduce crime.

Gun Control does nothing to reduce crime either - if anything it increases crime. It is all about what he wants to push for, notabout what is really best for the citizens.

*Not that I think limitation of the death penalty is best for the citizens. I think they should broadcast after the lottery drawing. Public death sentences would do more than the private viewings they have now.

The public hangings we had in the days of old were not for entertainment, but as a public and visible reminder of what happens when you break the law. Even just a few of those a year might dissuade a lot of these young thugs from their lifestyle.

Didn't mean to make it sound like I thought it should be entertainment.

Maryland is a lost cause. MOM is a socialistidiot... He was an idiot as Mayor of B'more... There was no reason to suspect as Gov he'd be otherwise.Maryland is like a clogged toilet. Ya know what's in there... but for some reason ya still have to look. It doesn't get better with age.

MD is surrounded by OC states... Ya mite think some of that would rub off.

Is MOM as bad as Donald Schaeffer? I remember that dufuss when he was Baltimore mayor, then was voted in as Maryland Governor.

Where in the hell do Maryland voters find these jerks??

MOM is worse than Willy Don... much worse.

Here's the way it goes..."My daddy wuz a Democrat 'n my grandaddy was a Democrat 'n da whole fam'bly's Democrat so I'm a Democrat 'n my Union tells me whoI shouldvote for. 'Sez so right there in the Sunpapers. 'How 'bout dem Owh's hon?"

So you get MOM... Hoyer, Mikulski, Sarbanes... Dixon, in perpetuity ad nausem. Nancy Pelosi is the daughter of Tommy DiAllesandro and thatDemocratic machine. I remember her growin' up. The woman is mentally retarded.

Mikulski made a radio comment years ago (re: an accidental shooting)... Quote: "They should make safer bullets!" I about ran off the road... She has the intelligence of a newt.

Maryland's like a clogged toilet... you know what's in there but every now 'n then you still have to take a peek... 'n it doesn't get better with age.

Hey there Governor O'Malley, how's that Gun control thinkg working out for you?

http://mddailyrecord.com/ontherecord/2009/09/25/our-law-schools-are-more-dangerous-than-yours/

The Daily Beast released their lists of the country's 25 safest and 25 most dangerous colleges recently...

Maryland had 5 colleges/Universities on the "25 most dangerous" list.

Maryland had ZERO higher education institutions on the "25 safest" list.

Just another reason to move YOUR WHOLE FAMILY out of MD. It's not even safe to send your kids to college there...

"Lord Governor Martin Saint-Malley" has, as I see it, no intention of ever allowing MD to be a rights-based state again.

The legislature is more than happy to carry the torch for him, acting more as delegates to an ideology than our representatives.

Gun Rights are only one of the many things we need to look at protecting here. Education, Law Enforcement, Crime & Punishment, Taxation... all becoming detrimental to the good of the public.

As for the Death Penalty? It's only ineffective as a deterrent, because it is not enacted decisively and [more] swiftly. No punishment will be effective if the perp feels he/she can job the system for decades without total accountability for their actions.

Maryland residents--in areas other than the urban centers--need to rear up, and stop allowing themselves to be "We the Sheeple."
