I know it might sound funny. But does anyone know of some codes from the ORC to print and keep handy, you know kind of a just incase thing. My friend is really cautious and somewhat paranoid of things that are new to him.So to make him more comfortable I want to make a list of codes I can print out and give to him, and maybe even keep a copy for myself...lol. I already got the "inducing panic" on my list which is (2917.32 Making False Alarms.) but I just want to know if you guys can think of any others that might come in handy if a leo is not properly informed or if he/she is simply having a bad day and might give him a hard time.

Thanks for any help
Dustin

not to mention general provisions chapter 9 section 68 part A :p

http://codes.ohio.gov/orc/gp9.68

(A) The individual right to keep and bear arms, being a fundamental individual right that predates the United States Constitution and Ohio Constitution, and being a constitutionally protected right in every part of Ohio, the general assembly finds the need to provide uniform laws throughout the state regulating the ownership, possession, purchase, other acquisition, transport, storage, carrying, sale, or other transfer of firearms, their components, and their ammunition. Except as specifically provided by the United States Constitution, Ohio Constitution, state law, or federal law, a person, without further license, permission, restriction, delay, or process, may own, possess, purchase, sell, transfer, transport, store, or keep any firearm, part of a firearm, its components, and its ammunition.

that bit might come in handy :D

not ORC, but the Ohio Constitution, this is what GP9.68 refers to

http://www.legislature.state.oh.us/constitution.cfm?Part=1&Section=04

The people have the right to bear arms for their defense and security; but standing armies, in time of peace, are dangerous to liberty, and shall not be kept up; and the military shall be in strict subordination to the civil power.

"Article 1 Section 4", good little phrase to remember when confronted by an uninformed LEO.

the more you know :)

man all these laws are starting to get to me, some of it just makes me want to :banghead:

I think it would help greatly if you would note what the section refers to, just before the link.

done and done BB62, good idea.

IxionDeece, I might start coming to the meetings once I turn 18 in a couple of months, but since I'm not really allowed to OC anyway I'm not sure. We'll see how it all turns out

Well poddus you dont necessarily have to be 18 to attend the meetings.....that I know of, but I am sure it can definatly help in one form or another. Plus the more people that we get going the more minds we have to work with, that away we can all start getting more people and hopefully start growing really quickly and start educating people. Thanks again poddus

Well BB62 we do need all the people we can get, and once I can convince my little brother (he is 18) to come...one more person, even if he doesn't carry, as long as he believes...right?
