So what we knew was coming, IS now coming:
http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/Story?id=6960824&page=2

Boo hoo hoo. Rage. Anger. OK...

Simple Idea:
* We schedule a march at the NRA Headquarters.
* We hold up checks (As big as you can handle) signed to them. I'll sign a contract, promising the money if I have to.
* We promise that money if they Kill this Bill in all it's forms.

Call it Kill Bill, AWB edition. I don't care.
It can involve GOA or JPFO or whomever you like better than the NRA. I don't care. They're the biggest player on the field, lets get his fat ass moving to the goal line.
I have no experience with stuff like this. Someone please help...

You just have to love the MSM and their use of "cop killer bullets" and now, they've added another line "cop killer handguns":cuss: Dammit they piss me OFF. We all knew this was coming, and even when Donkey and others said "oh they'll be too busy with the economy" I knew better. Geez, here we go again:shock:
added edit Of course it doesn't help matters much that a licensed dealer not only was selling arms, but is stupid enough to get caught, unless this is just a conspiracy to back up the socialists in their move to disarm us. Which BTW would not surprise me. Anyone else? Can you say,,conspiracy theories? I knew that you could :D Where is Mr. Rogers oh,,hell he's passed on.

Holder said that putting the ban back in place would not only be a positive move by the United States, it would help cut down on the flow of guns going across the border into Mexico, which is struggling with heavy violence among drug cartels along the border.

"I think that will have a positive impact in Mexico, at a minimum.
Pardon me, but

WHAT THE HELL !!

Does Mexico have to do with it !?!?!?

What a lame ass excuse :cuss:

I'm going to the range right now .....

Didn't the NRA say they wouldn't hold a Holder confirmation vote against anyone? Clinton and now Obama are NRA income generators; Holder is just icing on the cake. The NRA money weasels love conflict.

Watching Clinton in action should have taught everyone something: always have a crisis ready. The NRA has no intention of doing much of anything other than losing ground. They didn't support Heller until the very end, and from the way he told them to bugger off you know there's bad blood. They didn't back any OpenCarry members after they were arrested for doing nothing wrong, nor David Olofson / Brad Krause, both of which got world-wide attention for civil rights violations.

What has the NRA done for you? Taken your money and sent you a magazine? If you won't stand up for your rights, at least contribute to someone who will.

We get it. You don't like the NRA.
We all don't like the NRA. What's your plan? Oh, you don't have one? Then why not just sit on the sidelines and watch the first string play jimmy?

Do you want the AWB back or not?

You come up with something better to mobilize millions of Americans and pressure hundreds of congressmen, then start talking.

Look Pointman,
Stop jacking the thread. The point of this exercise is to FORCE the NRA into swift, severe action.
The entire REASON for this thread is that I and others, including you, feel that they won't fight this with all their might.
No one is "Following the NRA Blindly." Learn to read before you speak.
Stop distracting the Call To Action. Now who would like to tell me how we can get a couple hundred or so people (best if most are NOT NRA members) to go force them to act?
Thank you all in advance for helping to fight against the AWB and not fight amongst ourselves.

Just curious.

When was the last time the NRA tried to introduce pro-gun federal legislation or tried to get bad legislation repealed?

Have they introduced anything to get the Lautenburg amendment repealed?

Have they worked to get Tiahart permanent?

Anything else?

VCDL looks like they try to get about a half dozen or more pro-gun bills through every year, and try to get some anti-gun stuff repealed. And they get some successes every year. And that is only with a legislature that meets once a year for a few months. Congress seems to be in session more or less year round. You'd think there'd be a lot more potential for activity than what I can recall.

If I recall, even the National Parks Carry rule petition came from VCDL or VCDL members, not theNRA.

You guys want real results? Forget letter-writing, phone calls, etc.
It's been done, look at where it's gotten all of us.

If it's an impact you're wanting to make, give this some serious thought.
Show up by the dozens at a local politician's home, preferably first thing in the morning. When he/she opens the door to step into the new day, you are there, lots of you. There's just something about hearing a politician literally gasp for air that does the soul good. To say you'd have their attention would be an understatement. Once that's happened, what you have to say will sink in better.

I read the thread, you just don't see the problem. The NRA gives a pass to everyone who votes for Holder, Holder touts a weapons ban, the NRA just about cheers because of the revenue that will generate for them, and YOU want to give them that revenue if they step up to get things back to where they started.

Well they can suck it up, b/c Pelosi squashed that little tout quickly.
