You have your work cut out for you. Good job on finding these. If evey member looked at their local ordinances and then did something about it, the word would get out faster.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Administrative_divisions_of_Michigan

The state is divided into 83 counties, and further divided into 1,242 townships, 274 cities, and 259 villages. Additionally, the state consists of 553 school districts, 57 intermediate school districts, 14 planning and development regions, and over 300 special districts and authorities.[1][/suP]

[suP]I suspect that most, if not all, of the local units of government have some sort of prohibition of firearms in their public buildings/offices, parks, etc. on the books. Is there a way to address the illegal firearm prohibitions in Michigan (Per 123.1102) as a whole or do they need to be addressed separately?[/suP]

I've made snares (for capturing animals, therefore a type of trap) out of boot laces, fishing line and para cord... guess these are banned too. :D

Trash barrels work well for turkeys and notebook paper, with some slight modifications, works well for crows. Sorry, not going to give away any "poaching" secrets here though! :p

The problem with most prohibitions in the law is in the definition of terms. People with little outdoor experience wouldn't even think that the prohibition of traps is anything other than the picture they had in their mind at the time. Same problem w/ the gun laws... one example, most people "think" they know what "concealed" means, but is a pistol holstered IWB, with the handle showing, concealed or open? Most here probably would argue that it is open; WE can tell what it is when WE see it. To the uninformed, though, the terms "concealed" and "open" are objectively obvious and mutually exclusive.

This is, though, what probably keeps some lawyers in business. ;)
