At least the 2nd and 3rd place finishers (Sarah Palin and Ron Paul) are two of the strongest supporters of the 2nd Amendment...but I fear that we'll be stuck with another anti-gunner as the GOP nominee in four years.

I've voted a straight Republican ticket in every election since Reagan's first term. I very nearly didn't vote Republican this past election. In fact, I voted for Palin, not McCain if you know what I mean. If the Republicans can't cure their Rectal Cranial Inversion I may never vote for them again.

I heard someone (don't recall who now) highly placed in the Republican party on a talk show recently. He stated that, like Clinton before him, Obama was "good for the Republican party as a unifying force". Well pardon me, but Go F**** Yourselves if you can't unify to do what's right when you're in power, but can only unify to obstruct/slow down the democrats. Granted, I'm glad they can act as obstructionists to Obama's socialist agenda - but is that all you're good for?

He may be a unifying force, since all the Republicans did when they were in power was attack and betray their base. I honestly can't tell much of a difference since the Dems took over.

NeoconPAC, RINOPAC, whatever you want to call them, just need to go ahead and drop the first "C". They're a bunch of "our big government is better than your big government" fools who Just Don't Get It.

I'm amazed they even let Ron Paul in the building, let alone on the stage to speak.

I was at cpac, and I think there's a few main reasons they chose him. He's been the most hawkish on war andis big on lower taxes and less spending. Also, he has the support of what Iwould call the yacht club republicans, which had a very good showing at cpac.

I'll never forget when I was therelast year and wasa Huckabee supporter (100% pro-gun voting record as governor) , the yacht club was all for romney and then went for mccain afterhe conceded. The morning Huckabee spoke, we were up front just behind the diamond section (aka yacht club section) and several old ladies were upset withmy friends and Ifor not joining the mccain bandwagon and "uniting the party."

didn't any of you pay attention in school? the "big two" were split from the same party, the "democratic republicans", back in the 1800's in order to control the populous by making people believe there were actually two parties, at odds with one another, but in reality, they were all the same.
it's almost sad that Matt Groening placed these facts in front of you with a Simpson's episode that showed two candidates that were twins, trying to prove that the other was the "bad guy" when they were, in fact identical.

I just don't like Romney, anytime, anywhere. From what I've seen of him, he just makes me think of a creepy, double-talking politician.

Now Huckabee, THAT is one I'd love to see running in 2012. That guy oozes honesty and sincerity, IMO.

Mike Huckabee, Ron Paul, Sara Palin - I'd take any two of them on a ticket together.

Well, that's interesting. Did some google searching and there does seem to be some people saying that. (Huckabee = Bigger Government)
