Finally, got the call Friday from the Southbury First Selectmans office that my temp permit was ready fro me to pick up. I was there a half hour later. Some of you may remember that I was the guy who had the smudged fingerprints and they had to be redone. The got them processed in 4 weeks for me. Going to DPS Monday to get my state. What a relief!

The DPS is a lot like the DMV, especially lately. Give yourself plenty of time. It's not going to be an in and out process.

I was actually in and out in 20 minutes. There were about 10 people in line ahead of me. I found the 2 people working the desk effecient, friendly and very quick to process the paperwork. I was pleasantly surprised.
