You are not going to be upsetting me. I could are less what you carry.

For me... I am going to carry what is practical and needed for the job.

If you need to shoot through bullet proof vests you can carry a rifle or this AR pistol.

I suspect the weight and size is going to make it less than practical to carry around on your leg for any length of time.

In my opinion... I think your a dill hole if you do.

I am going to make jokes and rage you hard!!! But feel free if you are looking to get some strange looks. I am aware a few members long for that type of attention.
could NOT care less

Me too.

The difference is the penetration power of the AR round vs a 9mm.

If someone wants to carry one, I'm fine as long as they commit no crimes with it. I'd very much prefer they were well rehearsed with it, but this isn't the sort of thing a common carrier would have so I assume they would be.

Yea, b/c 5.56 rounds haven't killed anyone huh ?

So useless that the U.S. Military, the Finest fighting force in the world carries them.
Really? Can you point to any examples of the U.S. military carrying AR pistols, which was the topic?

I didn't say anything about the viability of 5.56 ammo. I only addressed the question, which was, "Would you open carry an AR type pistol?"

I repeat my assertion that the AR pistol is useless as a pistol, and it's useless as a carbine since it lacks a shoulder stock.

Have you held one or tried firing one? They're great for grins and giggles and huge fireballs at dusk, but that's about it.

I'm fine with people leaving their houses as long as they commit no crimes.... ;)

I couldn't care less if someone wanted to carry an AR pistol, a Serbu Super Shorty, an AR, or an AK-47, etc.

I don't give a hoot if they have training. Their competency is nobodies business but their own as they go about their daily business.

No really advantage for G20 owners

Glock 20
Caliber conversion: 9X25 (10mm necked down to 9mm)
Bullet : 90gr. Gold Dot
Ballistics : 2100fps / 881 ft. lbs. 6" BarSto
With an Arrendo mag attachment you can have 20+1 rds on tap.

And no three foot
fireball

An H&K SP89would benice but the the MP5K would be a no-no, iirc.

Not a fan of the AR pistols, but wouldn't have a problem with someone OC'ing one.

However, I'm a fan of Westerns and whenI heard someone (Legacy) was going to make a non NFA version of the Mare's leg I went:celebrate:celebrate:celebrate:celebrate.

Informed thewife be sureto tell the sales clerk .44mag when she orders mine (b-day gift).

If shtf I'd carry a Sig556 pistol, not an AR pistol.
I want to see the holster... I can't imagine what the police would say in seattle if I walked by with a 556 strapped to my leg...

There's a harrison ford movie where his buddy carried a beat up ar pistol in colombia shooting drug smugglers.

You said uselss as a carbine. The AR15 is obviously not useless. I didn't know you meant the AR Pistol, being that an AR pistol is NOT an AR Rifle, it didn't make since the way you wrote it.

See ?

That sentence is misleading :?

Btw, Yes I've put close to 75,000 rounds down range with an M16A4. So I'm well aware of what it's capable of. Gotta love the Marine Corps for that. They're not the richest DoD, but all the money goes to grunts for ammo :celebrate

Honestly Ide rather have the firepower of a AK pistol, but even then I'de LEGALLY convert it to an SBR with a folding stock so I could have the handiness of a short weapon but still have it up to my shoulder for accurate firing.

Hmmm. After evaluating the entire reason I carry a firearm, I asked myself some relevant questions.

Q1:In regards to the accuracy of the AR compared to my present weapon, is it superior or inferior?

A1: VERY inferior.

Q2:In regards to public safety, does the AR overpenetrate compared to the gun I'm currently carrying?

A2: Absolutely.

Q3: Considering that a large part of self defense is actually speed related, is an AR faster or slower to draw from concealment than the firearm I currntly carry?

A3: So slow in comparison it's almost a joke.

Q4: Compared with my current weapon, is the AR cooler or dorkier?

A4: WAAYYY COOLER DUDE!

Unfortunatly, I don't carry a firearm so I can look neato and be the coolest, most awsomest guy in my neighborhood. I carry it to protect myself.

Something in which the AR FAILS MISERABLY in comparison with my current pistol.

Maybe if I was trying to impress people with how mall ninja I was, I would consider this piece of crap. However, for grownup stuff like protecting my life, I'll stick with things that actually make sense.
