Great video - Mr. Beck does indeed get it.

Would vote for Senator Johnson if I could - well informed on the subject.

Good video... of course the liberals already hate Glenn Beck with a passion anyway, this is just more icing on their cake.

I can't believe ANYONE would be against protecting our school children by having well-trained teacher armed.

ESPECIALLY after our troops found Beslan-style plans for attacks on U.S. schools...including some right here in FFX.

I am a non fan of Glenn Beck, but sometimes he does get it right. Like he did in this case.

Everything I've seen from him lately has been right on the money. Immigration, 2A, the march to Socialism.......rings pretty true to me. What he has said before, I dunno, since I just started reading and watching bits and pieces from his show.

I listened to him a lot in Arizona, but I don't know of a radio station he's on around here.

Off the top of my head, the 2 biggest things I don't like about him is his support of Walmart and his insisting that chinese crap instead of US goods boosts the US economy, and also his bashing of militias.

No news reporter will be 100% accurate and unbiased, but I think it can get a lot better than him.

I wasn't aware of that. Going to have to agree with him there and give him credit for going against common (i.e. wrong) consensus. Maybe he isn't really as bad as I thought he was.

Have you looked at many of the products in a Walmart? If you look at the back, many if not most of them are made right here in the US. Even more surprising, is the amount of items in dollar stores made right here in the US. When you take out the cost of shipping things overseas, it kinda makes sense.

I dunno about the whole "chinese goods boosts the US economy" though....can you cite where he has said this? And where has he bashed militias? I've seen nothing like this so far.

Forgive the crappy music and poor film quality. Here is Glenn talking about how dangerous militias are. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_LQN5SZcOnw

As for Walmart, yes, they do have items here and there which are made in the US. But very little of it is made with skilled labor. Skilled labor stuff is almost exclusively Chinese. Go there and look. I actually went and participated in a union lead investigation of Walmart. So much of it is Chinese crap that has taken away jobs and money from the US. Industry is the goose that lays the golden eggs, and we've killed it. Glenn Beck seems to want to make sure it stays dead.

That video, Glenn didn't seem to say anything too out there to me. There have always been the few that associate themselves with militias and such and then go commit terrorist acts, like Timothy McVeigh. It didn't sound like he's saying militias are bad or that people who associate with militias are bad people, just that there are those who use that as a banner for whatever crazy violence they are committing against others, and those are the people we have to watch out for......and as things get worse and worse, there will be more people who sympathize and think such things are the answer. I dunno if I agree with that, but that's what I got out of the video. I think you're reading too much into it, frankly, and looking for something wrong when there is none.

Since you're so obviously biased and have strong personal feelings about this, I'm not going to argue with you about it (besides it being OT for this board). But I have to say in the short time I've been reading and watching articles by Glenn Beck, I've gotten the feeling that he is more on the side of liberty and freedom than every other person in news out there. But you go ahead and watch CNN or something and think they aren't lying to you.

Well there you go... we're all on the same side here, but that's like asking the Brady Bunch to tell us if Open Carry is Constitutional! What do you think they're going to say?

I don't have a problem with Wal-Mart any more and I don't care if they move jobs out of the US AS LONG AS they can help re-train the worker for something else.

That has always been my problem. Don't bail out the car manufacturers, bail out the employees by retraining them to build roads or other skilled labor that can keep them employed.

Why does Walmart owe anyone anything?

It baffles me that people just can't seem to wrap their minds around the fact that it's THEIR crying for cheaper prices that drive work outside the US. Would you be willing to pay $5,000 for your 999" Plasma just to know it was made in the US, versus an equal or better quality Japanese one at $3,000?

And there's nothing wrong with work leaving the US. It leaves for good reason. Do the work where the work is cheapest to do. If you're good at growingapples and I'm good at growing corn, then you growapples and I'll grow corn. It makes no sense for me to grow apples at higher cost than I can get them from you, just to know I grew them myself. US industry is becoming more service based and less manufacturing based by the minute. If you have a job in manufacturing, sucks for you. Change with the changing times or be left behind. Things are changing for the better.

In case anyone isn't up on basic economics and doesn't get the reasoning behind what I'm saying, here's a quick review.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparative_advantage
