Excellent article. I don't always agree with your positions, but well written as usual.

As a student attending a state school with lots of issues pertaining to administrator/police control over the student body and many of their more basic rights I am heartened by such eloquent coverage of this issue. I feel this discussion dovetails in nicely with a plethora of other constitutional rights issues that students face at institutions of higher education across the country.
When I read the seemingly every growing number of accounts of resistance to allowing student populations the right to be able to defend themselves I can't help but be flabbergasted by the irony of school faculty and administrations claiming to be objectively engaged in critical pedagogy but who can't see past their own uninformed bias.

Again, thank you for this press and your commentary.
