Well, I think the continued crashing of the financial markets because of pessimism and stupidity espoused by the president, his administration and the fed are preventing a recovery so I think they should ****. Therefore I want to see a poll of who thinks the recent financial crisis highlights a need for more free speech control. Once you make infringing one right ok, then there is no rationale for not infringing the others.

We are getting creamed on this one. Get to going people. We do not want the gun grabbers to be ahead in any type of poll showing that their gun grabbing ways are okay.

    Its down to 66-34 anti-gun.

Come on guys. We've got more registered members than the poll hastotal votes so far.

    They don't stand a chance. We're everywhere.

I'll make you an offer: I will argue and fight for all of your rights, if you will do the same for me. That is the only way freedom can work. We have to respect all rights, all the time--and strive to win the rights of the other guy as much as for ourselves.

If I am equal to another, how can I legitimately govern him without his express individual consent?

There is no human being on earth I hate so much I would actually vote to inflict government upon him.

Guys I dont see the poll anywhere, am I going blind?!?!

    where is it?

I dont see the link bewteen violence and guns. Most people tell me its there but I really must be blind because I see a link between "tools" and violence. I tell them take my gun and I'll use a Mag lite or a tire iron. They look at me like Im crazy.

Isn't that a sort of anthropomorphizing?

Or would it be personification? I always get those two mixed up.

CNN poll, go figure. But still, a good turn out for 1 day.

Germany has more restrictive gun laws than the US and this type of thing can happen there?? Unthinkable! Didn't that guy know that school was gun free zone!? :?

Would who have thought that gun free zones and gun control don't keep things like this from happening?

More laws that only affect law abiding people aint going to have anymore effect on violent crime than the laws already on the books do. Criminals ignore gun laws just as they ignore other laws.

We dont need anymore useless, ineffective, right infringing, feel good, laws! I'm of the belief that if every law that restricts the ownership and carry of firearms was to be repealed there would be no increase in violent crime and very likely a noticable decrease in violent crime.

What's more, it's a Communist NewsNetwork poll and is most likely rigged.

They've already taken it down. Dang it, I didn't get to hit it.

Guess they didn't want to leave it up and risk the poll going the wrong way, huh.

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009...-shooting-laws

    ((Paragraph 2))
"The country already has some of the strictest gun laws in the world. Handguns are only on sale to those aged 18 or over, with heavier weapons restricted to those over 21. No weapon can be purchased legally without a firearms ownership licence, which is only available after personal checks."

Imagine that. There are nuts in Germany that don't follow the laws either.
