CNN poll, go figure. But still, a good turn out for 1 day.

Germany has more restrictive gun laws than the US and this type of thing can happen there?? Unthinkable! Didn't that guy know that school was gun free zone!? :?

Would who have thought that gun free zones and gun control don't keep things like this from happening? :banghead:

Do the recent shooting rampages highlight the need for more gun control?

More laws that only affect law abiding people aint going to have anymore effect on violent crime than the laws already on the books do. Criminals ignore gun laws just as they ignore other laws.

We dont need anymore useless, ineffective, right infringing, feel good, laws! I'm of the belief that if every law that restricts the ownership and carry of firearms was to be repealed there would be no increase in violent crime and very likely a noticable decrease in violent crime.

What's more, it's a Communist News Network poll and is most likely rigged.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/mar/11/germany-school-shooting-laws

((Paragraph 2))
"The country already has some of the strictest gun laws in the world. Handguns are only on sale to those aged 18 or over, with heavier weapons restricted to those over 21. No weapon can be purchased legally without a firearms ownership licence, which is only available after personal checks."

Imagine that. There are nuts in Germany that don't follow the laws either.
