The time is ripe folks. If we really want preemption in MO, we need to get really involved in contacting our reps to let them know how we feel. Our bill, HB 875, is in the Agri-Bus. Committee right now and we’re trying to get it wrapped up with HB 668, the Castle Doctrine bill, which is popular. If this happens HB 875 could piggy-back to success.

So far it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen, though. So our bill will end up going to the floor all by its lonesome.

Shawn’s done a great job in canvassing the Agri-Bus members to support it. So far it seems he’s got them all on board. But if it goes to the floor alone, it will probably have problems.

So everyone has to get in touch with their reps. THIS IS IT (at least for this year).

I’ve attached a Word doc with all rep contact/district info. When you contact them, please remember not to refer to the bill as condoning Open Carry.

Should we just contact our reps and ask for support on the 875 bill, or is there anything we can do to try and help combined it with 675? Should we contact the committee members too?
