GUNS: Women’s murders might have been prevented Share this story the_tacoma

DANIEL JOHNSON; Gig Harbor. Published: 03/17/09 12:05 am Comments (8) Recommend (5) Sunday’s front page story about the man in Orting who murdered his estranged wife and stepdaughter with an ax illustrates dramatically several important verities:
•A restraining order is just a piece of paper.
•When seconds count, the police are only minutes away.
•A ban on guns, no matter how extensive, will not stop an evil man bent on murder.
•Had the innocent victims been armed, they would probably still be alive today.
