In the 2 minutes that I spent googling the topic, the majority of the information I received stated that Tennessee honors North Carolina's CHP. Obviously there are going to be differences in state laws, and you'll have to abide by TN's laws while in their state, regardless of where your permit is from.

Don't take my word for it, though. I strongly suggest you find a trustworthy source to verify that for yourself. I hope that helps! :)

Hope to taking the family to Dollywood for the first time .

Also new to OC & CCW .

Tennessee requires a permit to OC [ I think ] and honors our CCW .

Conflicting advice on the web about the laws and for that matter

with-in our statetoo .

That's what's tough about finding the information for yourself. You could call someone at the TN state offices and ask, but I can almost guarantee that the person answeringyour questions will spout off more opinion than fact. That's been my experience, at least lol.

I'll be going there (from NC) myself in a few months. From what I've read on different forums, the Gatlinburg/Dollywood areabusinesses are very anti-gun.
