I am coming to MS from MI in a couple of days to visit my mother and father inlaw along with niece and nephew who own a nice chunk of land. Is there any MS law that prohibits out of state residentsfrom open carry?

Well, the laws and rulingshere are contradicting and confusing, but it all boils down to MS being a licensed OC state, so if you have a CC permit from another state that has reciprocity with MS, then you can legally OC or CC.

But beware, if you OC, you may get harrassed by LEOs,as MS has contradicting laws. Read the postings in the MS section.

Have a safe trip down and enjoy the weather.
