My first post here. I want to start off with a great big "thank you" to a really nice couple from Dallas, TX, that I met at a Del Taco in Flagstaff, AZ. I don't know if it's appropriate to mention their names, so I won't. But they were traveling with his parents (who were visiting from Romania) and were on their way to Las Vegas to meet up with her Mom. He was open carrying a G-19, which is what I carry, so I struck up a conversation. I was not carrying at the time, as I'm a truck driver out of the Phoenix area, and was on my way back from a run to Albuquerque, NM, and had just stopped for a bite to eat. It's really great to meet friendly, well informed people like this, and quite by accident too. It helps to illustrate how many of us there are. I didn't know about this site until they told me about it. I just wanted to thank them for the great lunch conversation and wish them a safe trip. I hope your parents enjoyed their time here in the states, and maybe learned a bit about our freedoms as well. On a side note, I carry concealed most of the time, but have begun to open carry a bitmore, here of late. It's great to have found out about this site.
