There was a recent FBI study showing that 70% of gun crimes took place in 3% of counties. I've searched, but can't find it. Does anyone have a clue where this might be?

counties... not countries.

Basically is said that 70% of all gun crime took place in 3% of the counties in the US, and that 80% of gun crime was related to gangs. I think that's what it said:question:

I sent the question to my daughter...she works for the FBI's Criminal Division. I'll let you know what she says.

I would venture to guess, let's see what I did when the FBI stats are found....

1). Cook County, Illinois.

2). Washington D.C.

3). Camden county New Jersey.

4). Whatever county Newark New Jersey is in.

5). St. Louis county, Missouri.

6). Dade County, Florida (miami)

7). Los Angeles County.

8). Clark County, Nevada (Las Vegas - Henderson)
