Decently priced Over Under Shotgun

I'de like to get a O/U shotgun to give to my Class 3 manufacturer friend to make into a SBS, but I can't seem to find one under $1K. Anyone have a suggestion?

I want the O/U cuz you never see a O/U SBS, and it's even more compact than the SxS.

Inquiring minds want to know?? why would one want to fabricate a SxS shotgun from an O/U when there are SxS reasonably priced practically everywhere

SBS as in Short Barrel Shotgun, not SxS as in Side by Side. Sorry for the confusion.
