    The media will continue to give big time coverage to any shooting. They have an agenda to promote gun control. No matter the circumstances you are going to see more reporting on gun violence.

    What the heck is going on? Are people cracking under pressure of the poor economy? Even more reason to keep a firearm close at hand, at all times.

    Yes, I think so. Cracking with symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder and depression.

    I have been a bit surprised to not find more mention of psychological causes and effects of depression in the Great Depression.

    Don't assume there is an increase in shootings. There is definitely an increase in national coverage of shootings, but that is an anecdote from which we cannot draw plausible conclusions.
