When a man with a concealed firearm permit shot a toilet at Carl's Jr., it made national news.

Who wants to wager that this will barely make the local headlines, because he is a cop?

This is from utahconcealedcarry.com. Cinhil was at his booth in the gun show when this happened, selling knives.

The recent discharge at the gun show occurred about 3 shows ago. Unlike Carls Jr and the other incident mentioned, wherein the person who had the AD was a regular Joe with a CCW, that shows AD was by a Police Officer who did not obey the rules. He reached into his bag and grabbed his gun, which he did not have zip tied, therefore not disclosed on entry, and it discharged. The place was silent for a minute, no one was injured, but he was escorted out! Safety is a key element, especially in a large cramped venue. I don't care if you do not declare your carry weapon, but if you are going to have any interaction whatsoever with a gun you want to trade or sell, do get a zip tie on it and respect those around you. handle your weapon as courteously as you otherwise would and above all - Be Safe!

I don't remember hearing ANYTHING about this....

So, we do have regular citizens and SUPER citizens.... Just doesn't seem constitutional. How long before the SuperCitizens get to have their votes counted twice to my single vote?

If a weapon is legal for law enforcement and/or the military, if should be legal for me a CITIZEN as long as I obtain such weapon via legal means!

which is why I believe it would be a wonderful thing if the NFA was repealed in its entirety.

what gangbanger would dare do a drive-by in a neighborhood that had an automatic AK, select fire G36 or M4 behind every door along with people willing and able to use them....

criminals would quickly find another line of work, because crime would be so unprofitable...

Me thinks that we have covered this topic before.... LOL

Yep, repeal the ENTIRE NFA as it was one of the first steps taken in VIOLATION of OUR CONSTITUITIONAL PROTECTION OF THE RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS!!!!!

In my opinion which may not be popular I feel that 2A can be covered in three ways. First is your property, second is the property of others including corporations etc. and the third is public property or property owned by the government (or people as many like to say it).

First on you property if you want to have a tank and play war in your back yard with your buddies then I think you should be able to. If they want to and you allow them to then they can bring their own tanks and bazookas over an have a real shoot out. On your property there should be no restrictions. If you want a nuke then OK but onlyif you make sure it won't blow up your neighborhood.

Second is the property of others. They shouold have the same rights as you including either allowing you or denying you permission to play war, carry a gun or wear an obscene t-shirt on their property. This includes property owned by an individual, even if it is his business or property owned by a corporation which by law the corporation is an individual.

Third is public property such as the sidewalk, streets, parks or courthouses etc. Once you step off of your property then your 2A rights are limited by the rights of others. I cannot say what should be allowed or not on public property but you do not have the same rights on a sidewalk as in your front yard. I don't care if you play war in your frontyard with tanks and RPG's but riding dow the street in one is a different story.

Yup. Now, that could just be your opinion, however, it's hard to argue with FACTS, so here ya go:

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=55288

As the nation debates whether more guns or fewer can prevent tragedies like the Virginia Tech Massacre, a notable anniversary passed last month in a Georgia town that witnessed a dramatic plunge in crime and violence after mandating residents to own firearms.
In March 1982, 25 years ago, the small town of Kennesaw – responding to a handgun ban in Morton Grove, Ill. – unanimously passed an ordinance requiring each head of household to own and maintain a gun. Since then, despite dire predictions of "Wild West" showdowns and increased violence and accidents, not a single resident has been involved in a fatal shooting – as a victim, attacker or defender.
The crime rate initially plummeted for several years after the passage of the ordinance, with the 2005 per capita crime rate actually significantly lower than it was in 1981, the year before passage of the law.
Prior to enactment of the law, Kennesaw had a population of just 5,242 but a crime rate significantly higher (4,332 per 100,000) than the national average (3,899 per 100,000). The latest statistics available – for the year 2005 – show the rate at 2,027 per 100,000. Meanwhile, the population has skyrocketed to 28,189.

The statistics for Kennesaw do not lie but one must also consider the socio-economic demographics of Kennesaw. This is not your average Southern American county and some have argued that they just drove the crime to other counties. Well Duhhhh that is OK with the residents of Kennesaw, they accomplished their task. Maybe if we armed all of America we could rive the crime to Mexico since they don't have enough down there.

Either way one can use the statistics for Kennesaw any way they want to but the residents are still happy. However this is similar to honoring St. Patrick for driving all the snakes out of Ireland. Problem is there never were any snakes in Ireland.

My thoughts exactly, because the criminals already have or can gain access to these weapons--the law abiding people should have access to them as well. We should be able to simply go down to our local gun store, plop down our money and walk out with an M249 SAW or a G36...

make them, make them plentiful, make them affordable, train everyone on their use and crime will cease to be a problem...and yes, maybe we could drive all of our criminals over the border into Mexico or even into Canada..

Can anyone say, "Vigilante"? I am not conviced this will fix more problems than it would cause.

I couldn't agree with you more.

Sure, the first 5 years or so would just be criminal migration throughout the US, but give it some time, eventually they will either head to Canada or back to Mexico once its understood that the good guys are armed. Every good guy.

Jeff Cooper had quite a lot to say on this subject.
