Who here would spit on someone and follow them and not expect the victim to shoot back? Any reasonable person would fear for their life if this were to happen to them, even if it is "only spitting". Spittle can contain life-threating diseases.

Well, I'm sort of hoping that nobody here would shoot someone for spitting at us. That's simple assault, nothing more.

Get a cop, have them charged.

If it escalates to more than spitting, react accordingly.

The woman is being released but the investigation continues. She may ultimately be charged. There is probably more than we're getting right now from the newspapers or the cops.
