Well, the way the law reads it seems even if its unloaded it cannot be on your person. The argument can be made that in a holster on your belt qualifies as on your person. :?
When I was running without a CPL I pulled the magazine out with my left hand from behind and as I was sitting down pulled the pistol out of the holster and put it under the seat, just to be safe.

So, as an addendum to the Home Depot outing, I saw this guy there, an acquaintance, friend of a friend. We exchanged hello's but he didnt mention the pistol. Today Im at work and he sees me and proceeds to comment very loudly around co-workers about me carrying my 'piece' in HD. So now Im thinking, oh great, how long is this going to take to get around to my manager...
I guess it wasnt completely unexpected though, this town is just too small.

I was on a date with my girlfriend that night and was escorting her back home when I got on the bus I had no Idea there would be that many people and conceal carry was illegal for me at the time and I'm not going to give up my ability for self defense just because other people make bad decisions.
Why was it illegal for you to CC at the time?
If I'm not mistaken CC in Washington State requires a permit which I received in late April this event occurred mid March.
True, Washington also requires a CPL to ride in a vehicle with a loaded weapon, including the bus. That makes being on the bus at the time illegal as well.
It was not Illegal as my weapon was not loaded no round in the chamber and mag in the pocket. The way I read it, the law says this form of carry in a vehicle without a CPL is completely legal.

I went to my bank, Chase. Kind of nervous about going in there with a gun... But none of the employees mentioned it. I did get an odd reaction from a pair of teenage girls. They walked in the door, spotted my weapon and started talking amongst themselves, loudly I might add, about it. When I turned to look at them they almost immediately ran out the door.. Im listening to the recording trying to find it but its probably too garbled to hear.
Then I went to Radioshack and picked up a mic for my recorder to clip to my shirt. (Probably should have done this first.) No Problems.
I went to a local barber shop to get my haircut. I needed one bad. When I walked in and they were hunting Elk on the TV I knew I was in the right place. The owner had no problems with it, in fact he asked what it was, etc.

That's pretty awesome I was just at my bank at the ATM and there was a girl there and I was kinda worried I would end up scaring her so I made sure I was holding my wallet and card so she wouldn't be nervous, but thankfully when she turned around she didn't even notice my gun.

I always do that, deposit slip with cash + wallet out.

If someone wanted to pull some BS, It'd be very easy to say it was obvious I was doing a 'legit' transaction, those robbing banks don't have deposit slips with ID and cash out (Least the smart ones, anyway)

Yeah, I had a deposit slip and a check in my hand. Although they were under my arms at the time... I had my arms folded hands flat in my armpits with thumbs pointed up.
If somebody had called the cops, I would have known, I am sure. The Police station is literally about a block from the bank. You can see the building if you exit the bank and head towards the street. Probably would be the poorest choice of venue if I was going to hold up a bank.

Went to the local Ford dealer today to pick up a few parts I ordered. Nobody said anything. Picked up my brother from the park and took him home before going to the bank to deposit a check. Nothing happened this time. :)
