This happened in Moscow, which however doesn't at all diminish the point. And of course it being Russia, where handguns are banned from private ownership (except for Mr. Putin and those who can afford to bribe the authorities), there was virtually no chance people could defend themselves.
Note how the Russian journalist seems at a loss to explain how it could happen in a country with strict gun control (but in the US, of course!). And of course the only solution is more regulation.:quirky
I was watching Russian news yesterday and I was also shocked that media there (which is even though Kremlin controlled, is far frombeingliberal) was calling for more regulations... I mean the only regulation here would be to disarm cops which is obviously not going to happen and it wouldn't do any help in this case since the cop was blasting bystanders away with an illegal street gun, not his service weapon... I think this case happening in a country with very strict gun control is the best argument for our cause... Clearly, disarming anyonedoesn't work at all!
