Officials unnerve some at gun show

I went to the gun show Saturday morning in Lubbock, TX and saw several people moving through the shoppers and sellers wearing tactical type uniforms (blue tactical style pants with a blue knit shirt with emblems). I steered clear of them and told my wife I don't know who sent them but it doesn't look good. Several people were milling around outside talking about it.

Today's paper revealed who they were.

I have been to many gun, craft, and hobby shows and never seen these people there until now. Wonder if they will start going to garage sales, maybe even girl scout cookie sales??

They better take a good look at craigslist then. Lots of illegal untaxed sales going on there.

Link doesn't work for me but I'm guessing these were state sales tax "revenuers"?

Ohio was doing that for a short time a few years back, concentrating on gun shows and flea markets. About a $250 fine if they found a tableholder without the proper vendor's license.

Heard from a friend in state guv that this effort was costing MUCH more to operate than it was taking in, so it was rather quickly abandoned. Yeah, the SWAT type outfits made me chuckle out loud.
