I really want to get into competitive shooting, but I can never find out any match info ahead of time.

Anyone know of some regular local (~100 miles of Richmond) matches, or where I can find match information?

Notsure of the distance, +/- 100 miles

If you think like a Statist, act like one, or back some, you've given up on freedom and have gone over to the dark side.
The easiest ex. but probably the most difficult to grasp for gun owners is that fool permission slip so many of you have, especially if you show it off with pride. You should recognize it as an embarrassment, an infringement, a travesty and an affront to a free person.

Call the shooting ranges in your area. They will likely have the match schedule for their range. Or be able to put you in touch with the league coordinator for your area.
I'll make you an offer: I will argue and fight for all of your rights, if you will do the same for me. That is the only way freedom can work. We have to respect all rights, all the time--and strive to win the rights of the other guy as much as for ourselves.

If I am equal to another, how can I legitimately govern him without his express individual consent?

There is no human being on earth I hate so much I would actually vote to inflict government upon him.

I know of a Bullseye league in Suffolk...

However, like most of us, as I go through my daily life, I carry something a bit more compact, with a lot less power."

Try here http://www.idpa.com/clublist.asp?state=VA. Listing of clubs in VA that affiliate with IDPA.

There's probably at least three places in, near and around Richmondthat has IDPA.

Check out, http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/VAIDPA/Get on the email list and you'll usually have a weeks notification of the next match.

There are matches at Cavalier every 4th Sunday, matches at Dominion, matches at Rivana (Charlottesville, I think), matches at Black Creek. I shoot at the Cavalier matches cause the others are further away. Lots of fun and some really nice people.
